Ada beberapa hal yang sedikit banyak mempengaruhi kualitas rasa dari nasi kuning, pertama dari jenis bahan, kemudian pemilihan bahan segar hingga cara mengolah dan menghidangkannya. Tidak usah pusing jika ingin menyiapkan nasi kuning enak di rumah, karena asal sudah tahu triknya maka hidangan ini dapat jadi suguhan spesial.
Di bawah ini ada beberapa tips dan trik praktis yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengolah nasi kuning yang siap dikreasikan. Anda dapat menyiapkan Nasi Kuning memakai 8 jenis bahan dan 5 langkah pembuatan. Berikut ini langkah-langkah dalam membuat hidangannya.
Bahan-bahan dan bumbu yang diperlukan untuk menyiapkan Nasi Kuning:
- Ambil 1 L Beras.
- Siapkan 1 1/4 L Santan ecer (dari 1btr Kelapa).
- Gunakan 1 sdm Kunyit (parut, rebus dng 50ml air, saring).
- Ambil 2 lbr Daun Pandan (robek, ikat simpul).
- Ambil 2 lbr Daun Salam.
- Ambil 1 btg Serai (memarkan).
- Sediakan 1 sdm Garan.
- Sediakan 1 sdt Air Jeruk Nipis.
Whenever there is a wedding, first birthdays or someone passed away, Nasi Kuning is made and it is shaped in a cone and served with a banana leaf on top. Nasi kuning is yellow rice and is eaten in Indonesia during festivals; anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, or a holy party of any kind. The rice is flavored with santen (coconut cream), kunjit (turmeric), salam, pandan, jeruk purut, lemongrass and salt. While the coconut milk was a fantastic addition for the rice, the nasi kuning did just as much need the other added ingredients - kaffir leaves, lemongrass, and ginger - to help balence the taste of the overall dish.
Cara menyiapkan Nasi Kuning:
- Campurkan santan dengan air kunyit, daun pandan, daun salam dan garam, didihkan.
- Kukus beras 1/2matang, letakan dipanci lalu tuang dng santan mendidih sambil diaduk, masak hingga santan habis diserap beras (jika menggunakan rice cooker skip proses ini, masak beras seperti biasa dng air santan).
- Beri air jeruk nipis, aduk rata (dng rice cooker proses ini dilakukan langsung saat nasi baru matang, aduk rata).
- Kukus kembali sampai matang (dng rice cooker diamkan dulu sebentar baru bisa disajikan).
- Sajikan dengan pendamping sesuai selera.
